(Contribution to local communities)

[1] The Takashimaya Group contributes to the sustainable development of local communities by further enriching the life of people and creating new lifestyles and cultures through its business activities in each region in and outside of the country.

[2] The Takashimaya Group works toward the SDGs, the global goals with the concept of “leave no one behind,” by proposing and delivering new values through products, environments and services, and thereby contributes to building a sustainable society.

2. Promotion of Fair and Transparent Transactions

(Legal compliance)

[1] The Takashimaya Group promotes fair and proper transactions in compliance with the Anti-Monopoly Act, public notice relating to the Designation of Specific Unfair Trade Practices by Large-Scale Retailers Relating to Trade with Suppliers, the Act against Delay in Payment of Subcontract Proceeds, etc. to Subcontractors and other laws and regulations. It also promotes the provision of correct information to its stakeholders by making proper and clear representations in accordance with the Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations, the Food Sanitation Act and other laws and regulations.

[2] The Takashimaya Group respects the rights of holders of patent rights, copyrights, trademark rights, design rights and other intellectual property rights and does not infringe any right of third parties.

[3] The Takashimaya Group will not be involved in corruption or bribery or provide or receive any improper advantage to or from others.

[4] The Takashimaya Group complies with any laws, regulations and rules of the countries and regions where the Takashimaya Group conducts its business activities.

(Elimination of antisocial forces)

[5] The Takashimaya Group complies with the prefectural or municipal ordinances regarding the elimination of organized crime groups and does not make a transaction with any company related to an organized crime group.

3. Respect of Human Rights

(Respect and promotion of diversity)

[1] The Takashimaya Group is committed to building an environment where everyone can play active roles with a healthy mind and body transcending differences in race, nationality, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, employment status, work style or other backgrounds.

[3] The Takashimaya Group ensures that its manufacturing and procurement processes are based on a proper labor system as stipulated in applicable national and regional laws and regulations and does not handle any products or services manufactured or supplied using child labor, forced labor or any other form of unfair labor.

(Promotion of proper work environment/safety and health management)

[4] The Takashimaya Group endeavors to maintain and further improve a proper work environment while complying with applicable labor laws and agreements.

[5] The Takashimaya Group complies with safety and health laws and regulations, maintains and enhances the health of its employees, and promotes the creation of a comfortable workplace environment.

4. Reduction of Environmental Impacts across the Entire Supply Chain

[1] The Takashimaya Group works on CO2 reduction, waste reduction and resource recycling activities extending across the entire supply chain and thereby contributes to the realization of a decarbonized and recycling society.

[2] The Takashimaya Group proposes and delivers lifestyles that may help solve environmental issues through products, environments and services.

5. Continuous Quality Improvements

[1] The Takashimaya Group has built and will enhance its quality management system to provide safe and secure products, environments and services and will work on sustained quality improvements.

6. Appropriate Management of Information

[1] The Takashimaya Group strictly manages any confidential or personal information that may be learned through transactions to avoid causing any information leakage to a third party.

(Proper disclosure of important information)

[2] The Takashimaya Group will disclose any information related to its business activities and quality, safety and other reportable information in a timely and appropriate manner.
